Christa James, Raymond James Death – The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the two individuals who lost their lives in a collision on Interstate 80 near USA Parkway on Monday. The victims, Christa James, aged 50, and Raymond James, aged 12, both residents of Wadsworth, were named in a press release issued on Thursday. The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt trauma, although their relationship was not specified.
Nevada State Police troopers were dispatched to the scene of the accident on westbound I-80, just west of USA Parkway, at around 6:49 p.m. on Monday. According to authorities, the initial findings indicate that Christa James was driving a Ford Fusion with Raymond James and another minor as passengers when the vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer that had slowed down due to traffic.
Tragically, both Christa and Raymond were pronounced dead at the scene. The other passenger was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The driver of the tractor-trailer is cooperating with the investigation. The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Northern Command’s M.I.R.T team is currently looking into the details of the crash.
