David Belcher Death – The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has identified the pedestrian who was tragically struck and killed by a pickup truck on Tuesday along Route 9 in Freehold Township. The victim, David Belcher, 61 years old, was hit on the southbound side, a few hundred feet north of Route 33, at approximately 5:35 p.m. Sadly, Belcher was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, the hometown of David Belcher has not been determined, according to a spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. The driver of the pickup truck, a 48-year-old individual, stopped after the accident. As of 11 a.m. on Thursday, the driver has not been charged or issued a summons, as confirmed by the spokesperson.
