David Weiner Obituary, Death – The coroner’s office released a statement on Wednesday disclosing the identity of a 57-year-old man who tragically lost his life in a collision on Interstate 580. The collision occurred in the opposite direction and was linked to individuals suspected of committing a burglary. According to the initial report by KTVU, the victim was a 56-year-old financial professional who was attacked while on his way to work. The collision occurred near the Bay Bridge area at four-thirty in the morning, resulting in a significant traffic delay that lasted for several hours.
Law enforcement authorities suspect that the individuals involved in the collision had been involved in a burglary at a Tobacco Outlet tobacco shop in El Cerrito. The suspects were reportedly driving a white pickup truck during the incident. The El Cerrito police had been pursuing the vehicle but eventually ceased their pursuit.
The suspects not only caused a collision with a BMW but also collided with a white work van driven by a single individual. It is currently unknown if the person driving the van sustained any injuries as there is no available information. The El Cerrito Police Department’s investigation identified the driver of the van as Patrick Scheckells, a 34-year-old resident of Oakland.
Further investigation revealed that another suspect involved in the incident was Andre Alberty, a 56-year-old resident of San Francisco. This information was obtained during the investigation. Additionally, a Lafayette resident named David Lee Weiner was also involved in the incident.
