Frank R. Wyant, Marcella A. Wyant Death – Authorities have confirmed the identities of a couple who were fatally struck by a car while walking in Allentown on Friday evening. The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office has identified the victims as Frank R. Wyant, 83, and Marcella A. Wyant, 80, both residents of Allentown. The tragic incident resulted in their deaths, with Frank R. Wyant passing away at 8:56 p.m. and Marcella A. Wyant a minute later at Lehigh Valley-Cedar Crest Hospital in Salisbury Township.
The cause of death for both individuals was determined to be multiple blunt force trauma, and their deaths were deemed accidental by Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. The collision took place around 8:30 p.m. near West Chew and North Main streets, where the couple was found severely injured by responding officers. The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, according to city police.
