Joyce A. Lowe, James E. Lowe Jr Obituary, Death – A crash that occurred in St. Clair County on Monday has resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The victims have been identified as Joyce A. Lowe, 73, and James E. Lowe Jr., 45, both residents of Ashville. The incident took place at approximately 6:35 p.m. on U.S. 231 near Ivy Drive, which is located about four miles north of Pell City.
According to troopers, Joyce Lowe lost her life when the Jeep Patriot she was a passenger in collided head-on with a Crown Victoria driven by John K. Robinson, 39, from Ragland. Sadly, James E. Lowe Jr., the driver of the Jeep, sustained critical injuries and was transported to UAB, where he later passed away. Robinson was taken to Ascension St. Vincent’s St. Clair Hospital in Pell City for treatment.
Another passenger in the Jeep, Sabrina L. Lowe, 51, from Ashville, was injured in the crash as well. It is worth noting that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident. Sabrina was also taken to UAB for medical attention. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is currently conducting an ongoing investigation into the matter.
