Marcie Rivas Obituary – A second individual has lost their life as a result of a collision involving two vehicles in Canyon County during the weekend. The passenger of a Toyota Camry, identified as Marcie Rivas, aged 43, tragically passed away. The vehicle was being driven by a 44-year-old man, and both individuals were residents of Melba. The incident occurred on Saturday, April 20, at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Southside Boulevard, when a Ford F150 pickup truck, driven by a minor from Melba, failed to come to a complete stop on Melmont Road and collided with the Toyota. Sadly, the teenager, who remains unidentified, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Following the collision, Rivas was transported to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, where she passed away the following day at around 1 p.m. The Coroner’s Office has determined her death to be an accident, attributing it to “multiple blunt-force injuries.” The condition of the male driver, who was also taken to a local hospital, remains unknown. The Idaho Statesman has reached out to the state police for additional details, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
