Nicholas Schintgen Death – A tragic incident occurred on Monday afternoon when a collision resulted in the unfortunate death of a man from Minnesota on US 69 near Rusk. The crash caused traffic to be redirected due to the severity of the accident. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) stated that the driver of an 18-wheeler was traveling south on US 69 at a speed that was deemed unsafe for the road conditions, which were reported to be wet at the time.
As a result, the driver lost control, causing a 2023 RAM Van traveling in the same direction to veer off the west edge of the roadway and collide with a tree. Tragically, the van’s driver, Nicholas Schintgen, a 44-year-old resident of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, was pronounced dead at the scene by a justice of the peace.
