Phillip J. Sandridge Jr Death – The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identity of an electrical contractor who tragically lost his life last week following an accident involving a bucket truck.
The incident occurred on Friday, May 24, on Sugar Loaf Road in the 100 block. The victim has been identified as Phillip J. Sandridge Jr., a 48-year-old resident of Waynesboro.
According to Lt. Leslie Snyder, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, Sandridge was engaged in the replacement of old utility poles when the fatal fall from the bucket truck occurred.
Snyder mentioned that reports indicated Sandridge fell approximately 25 feet. He was an employee of P&S Electric, a company based in Waynesboro that he co-founded with his father back in 2003, as stated in his obituary.
Survived by his wife, four children, and two step-children, Sandridge’s Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for June 4 at 11 a.m. at the Blue Ridge Chapel in Waynesboro, as per the obituary.
