Alec Langen, aged 23, was one of the five Marines on board the helicopter during a training exercise in Southern California on February 6. Casey Langen, speaking to KGTV, described their wedding as the most perfect day of her life, emphasizing the happiness her late husband exuded.
The couple had plans to relocate to North Carolina to pursue their professional aspirations and start a family. The other Marines who perished in the crash were identified as Capt. Jack Casey, aged 26; Lance Cpl. Donovan Davis, aged 21; Capt. Benjamin Moulton, aged 27; and Capt. Miguel Nava, aged 28.
These brave individuals were part of Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, and were stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego. In support of the grieving families, the Wingman Foundation has initiated a fundraiser.
