Sheron Trowers Death – A woman who had recently returned from a trip abroad was tragically shot and killed in the driveway of a home in Brockton, Massachusetts, early Tuesday morning. Authorities reported that the man suspected of killing her was found fatally wounded inside the residence.
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz stated during a news conference that it seemed like she was ambushed, and the incident was believed to be related to domestic violence. The woman, identified as 56-year-old Sheron Trowers, was shot multiple times, while the man, 61-year-old Carlos Brown, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The couple had a history of domestic violence, although it was unclear if they were married. Police responded to reports of gunshots at the Ash Street residence around 12:27 a.m. and discovered the injured individuals at the scene.
Authorities received two 911 calls – one from inside the house reporting an unresponsive male, and another from a neighbor who heard the gunshots. Luggage belonging to Trowers was visible near the driveway, as she had just returned from a trip to Jamaica.
Both Brockton and state police were investigating the shooting, and details about the ownership of the gun and the presence of children in the home at the time were not immediately available. Cruz emphasized the availability of resources for individuals seeking to leave abusive relationships, mentioning the hotline at 877-785-2020.
