Stanley Jeffery Burns Obituary – A fatal accident occurred in Caldwell County on Thursday morning, resulting in the death of an individual. The incident took place around 4 a.m. near the Tough Enough Rodeo and Campground, specifically at the intersection of Burns Road and Oran Yount Lane, prompting a response from the NC State Highway Patrol.
According to the investigation conducted by officials, it was determined that a man was driving a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville in a westerly direction on Burns Road when he veered off the right side of the road. Subsequently, the vehicle collided with an embankment, causing it to overturn and come to a stop on its driver’s side. This information was provided by the NC State Highway Patrol.
Tragically, the driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The deceased has been identified as 64-year-old Stanley Jeffery Burns from Granite Falls. The Highway Patrol revealed that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. At present, authorities do not suspect that alcohol or excessive speed played a role in the accident.
