Tilisha Anderson Obituary, Death – A fatal collision involving four vehicles occurred on the South Side of Chicago, resulting in the death of a woman, as reported by the police. The incident took place close to a CTA bus shelter at around 11 a.m. near 87th Street and Western Avenue. The woman, aged 36, was driving a sedan westbound on 87th Street when she attempted to turn left onto Western Avenue. At that moment, an unidentified male driver in an SUV traveling eastbound on 87th Street collided with the woman’s sedan on the passenger side, causing the sedan to spin into two other vehicles waiting at a traffic light facing northbound on Western Avenue. The sedan then hit a fire hydrant before coming to a stop. The driver of the SUV fled the scene.
A passenger in the sedan, a 37-year-old woman named Tilisha Anderson, sustained fatal blunt-force head trauma and was pronounced dead at Christ Hospital. The driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition.
Another woman, aged 45, who was driving one of the stationary vehicles hit at the traffic light, was transported to Little Company of Mary in good condition with minor injuries. The other driver, a 70-year-old man, declined medical assistance.
No citations were given at the scene, and the Major Accidents division is conducting an investigation.
