Tim Johnson Obituary, Death – The driver who was killed in a rollover crash early Saturday, Oct. 28, has been identified by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. Tim Johnson, 50, of Valley City, was driving a 2005 Ford F150 west on Interstate 94 around 1 mile west of Oriska at 1:15 a.m. Saturday when he lost control of the vehicle on the icy road, according to a release from the patrol.
The Ford began to spin and entered the north ditch, where it rolled until ultimately coming to rest on the driver’s side, the release said.
Tim Johnson and his passenger, 42-year-old Kerri Johnson, also of Valley City, were both ejected during the crash and were not wearing seat belts, the Highway Patrol said.
Both of them were taken to Mercy Hospital in Valley City, where Tim Johnson was pronounced dead, the release said. Kerri Johnson was flown to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo for treatment of serious injuries.
