Tim Joss Obituary – Tim Joss, aged 68, was involved in a collision with a car while riding his bike on Witney Road near his residence in Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, on 24 January. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the red VW Polo, a 19-year-old man, was taken into custody on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and was later released on bail. Mr. Joss was not only a gifted pianist and a talented mathematician but also a bridge builder and a visionary leader, as described by his wife, science broadcaster Vivienne Parry OBE. He pursued mathematics at The University of Oxford and later studied piano at the Royal Academy of Music.
He then went on to manage the Bournemouth orchestras and became the Artistic Director of the Bath Festivals. His wife, daughter, and stepson expressed that his most remarkable quality was his love, which was affectionate, boundless, and magnanimous. Unfortunately, his granddaughter, Clemency, will never experience the joy of growing up with such love due to his untimely demise. The Thames Valley Police is currently investigating the collision.
