William Evans-Phelps Death – A 37-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash with a vehicle in Venice was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
The crash occurred at about 10:55 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Boulevard and Lake Street, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. The rider was identified as William Evans-Phelps.
Police said the motorcyclist was traveling south on Lincoln when he struck the passenger side of a vehicle driven by an 81-year-old man as it was turning westbound onto Lake Street, police said.
Paramedics pronounced the rider dead at the scene, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The motorist, who declined to be taken to a hospital, stayed at the scene to cooperate with police, Humphrey said.
