Bibiana Retana-Sosa Obituary – A 66-year-old woman was fatally struck by a hit-and-run motorist Tuesday in the Arlington Heights area of Los Angeles. Bibiana Retana-Sosa was struck around 6:40 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Venice Boulevard and 12th Avenue, where she was pronounced dead by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to police, Sosa was crossing the street northbound on Venice Boulevard in a marked crosswalk when a white Mazda with California license plate 8XHG132 struck her and continued traveling east on Venice. There was no description of a suspect immediately available.
The city of Los Angeles has a standing $50,000 reward offer for information leading to the offender’s identification, arrest and conviction.
