Brandi McDaniel Obituary – A special service was held by a church congregation in Venus to show their support for their senior pastor, who tragically lost his wife and daughter in a car accident on Saturday afternoon. The accident occurred at 2:30 p.m. on I-20 East in Howard County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. According to the DPS report, a vehicle struck a guardrail on the inside border of the interstate, causing the guardrail to enter the vehicle and injure everyone inside.
The driver of the vehicle, Senior Pastor Mark McDaniel of the New Hope Community Church, sustained minor injuries. Tragically, the backseat passenger, identified as a 17-year-old girl named Hannah and Pastor Mark McDaniel’s youngest daughter, died at the scene. The front-seat passenger, identified as Brandi McDaniel, passed away after being taken to a hospital.
The following morning, members of the New Hope church gathered for a service to support Pastor Mark, his oldest daughter, and his wife’s mother. The service was live-streamed and included music, scripture readings, prayers from the congregation, and messages of support from online well-wishers. At the beginning of the service, one individual expressed that the focus would be on supporting the pastor’s family and finding strength in their faith, rather than solely grieving. They emphasized the desire for the service to be a time of renewal and spiritual connection with the Holy Spirit, enabling them to move forward with each step.
