Cory Beer Death – The incident on Tuesday night in Crawford County, Iowa resulted in the death of one individual and the hospitalization of several others. The Iowa State Patrol reported that the collision occurred around 9:50 p.m. on Highway 30, just west of N Avenue, placing it slightly to the east of Denison. A 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix traveling east on Highway 30 lost control and crashed into a westbound 2016 Chevrolet Suburban.
Four individuals were in the Grand Prix, with three sustaining serious injuries and being airlifted to an Omaha hospital, while the fourth person tragically passed away at the scene. The deceased was identified as 35-year-old Cory Beer from Bayard, Iowa.
The injured parties were identified as 23-year-old Brent Stephan from Yukon, Oklahoma, 44-year-old Stacy Holloway, and 23-year-old Heaven Holloway, both from Lytton, Iowa. Stephan, who was driving the Grand Prix, was the sole occupant wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the Suburban was 19-year-old Morgan Andersen from Shelby, Iowa, who was taken to a Denison hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The Vail Volunteer Fire Department reported that Highway 30 was closed as emergency services responded to the accident.
The crash is currently being investigated.
