Debbra Pojanowski Obituary – Debbra Pojanowski, aged 62 from Lindstrom, and Jerry Mely, aged 76 from Chisago City, were the two individuals who tragically lost their lives in a two-car collision in Wyoming, Minn. According to Wyoming Police Chief Neil Bauer, both victims passed away while being transported in ambulances to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
The incident took place at approximately 11 a.m. on Friday, involving a 2020 Honda CRV driven by a 63-year-old Lindstrom resident. The Honda CRV crossed the centerline on Pioneer Road near Iris Avenue, colliding with a 2018 Dodge Caravan traveling in the opposite direction. The driver of the Honda CRV, who has not been identified yet, reportedly fell asleep while driving and failed to negotiate a curve, resulting in the head-on collision with the Dodge Caravan.
Pojanowski was a passenger in the Honda CRV, while Mely was a passenger in the Dodge Caravan. Unfortunately, Mely was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Both drivers sustained injuries and were transported to Regions Hospital for treatment. The Wyoming Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
