Jimmie Allen Haggadone Obituary – A 66-year-old man from Metro Detroit lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday afternoon, as per officials. On May 1 at 4:45 p.m., the victim, identified as Jimmie Allen Haggadone from Orion Township, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle heading south on North Lapeer Road near Oakwood Road in Oxford Township when the tragic event occurred, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
As Haggadone approached a flashing yellow light at West Oakwood Road, a 54-year-old man from Farmington Hills driving a 2012 Toyota Corolla eastbound on West Oakwood Road stopped for the flashing red light at the same intersection.
The authorities reported that the Farmington Hills man made a right turn onto southbound North Lapeer Road while the motorcycle was in that direction, resulting in a collision. Haggadone was thrown off his motorcycle and landed in the median. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 54-year-old man from Farmington Hills was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and then discharged.
The sheriff’s office mentioned that speed could have played a role, and they are uncertain if Haggadone was wearing a helmet during the incident. The investigation is still ongoing.
