Josepsh Soto Death – On Thursday, a man was apprehended in relation to a shooting incident that occurred in February, which has now been determined as a homicide by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. Initially, the sheriff’s office reported that 38-year-old Josepsh Soto was expected to recover after being shot outside a Wingstop establishment on Florin Road’s 5900 block on February 24. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
Unfortunately, Soto’s condition deteriorated, and he succumbed to his injuries on March 21, as confirmed by the sheriff’s office. Following the shooting, the sheriff’s office dispatched homicide detectives to conduct a thorough investigation. They interviewed witnesses and collected evidence, including surveillance footage.
Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation, it was revealed that Soto may have engaged in an altercation with another individual outside the restaurant, which ultimately led to the shooting.
The suspect, identified as Alimohammed Hamid, was apprehended on Thursday, according to the sheriff’s office. Hamid has been incarcerated at the Sacramento County Main Jail and is facing charges of murder.
The sheriff’s office has declared him ineligible for bail, and his court appearance is scheduled for April 8.
