Micheal Shane Adams Obituary, Death -The Saluda County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that a fatal crash occurred on Tuesday morning, resulting in the death of a man from the Midlands. The deceased driver has been identified as 52-year-old Micheal Shane Adams, a resident of Saluda. The accident took place on Long Road, near the intersection with Robins Walk Lane, when Adams’ vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree.
Unfortunately, Adams succumbed to his injuries at the scene. No other individuals were reported injured in the incident. The circumstances leading to the collision are currently under investigation by the coroner’s office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The Saluda County Sheriff’s Office and Saluda County EMS also responded to the crash. It is unknown at this time whether Adams was wearing a seat belt.
According to the Department of Public Safety, as of Monday, 153 fatalities have occurred on South Carolina roads in 2024. In 2023, there were a total of 999 crash-related deaths in the state, with six of them occurring in Saluda County.
