Teren John Tarver Death – The identification has been made of a young man who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle collision with a semi-trailer truck on Highway 99. Teren John Tarver, aged 21 and hailing from Bakersfield, was discovered by officers from the California Highway Patrol at approximately 4:35 a.m. on southbound Highway 99, south of Ming Avenue, as confirmed by the Kern County Coroner’s Office. Regrettably, he passed away shortly after the incident at the scene.
In an interview with Eyewitness News, Tarver’s father, Teren Sr., described his son as a vibrant individual who possessed a penchant for laughter, lightheartedness, and finding positivity in every situation. He also had a strong inclination towards assisting others.
Tarver Jr. had a deep passion for cars and was known for his enthusiasm in the field. A vigil was organized in southwest Bakersfield during the same week of his passing, and his family initiated a GoFundMe campaign in his memory.
According to officials, an autopsy determined that the cause of death was attributed to severe trauma resulting from the collision, and it has been classified as an accident.
