Tommy Bergeron Death – A Ridgefield High School student-athlete has died by suicide. The student has been identified as Tommy Bergeron. According to reports, Tommy Bergeron, a longtime resident of Ridgefield, Connecticut passed away early Monday morning, school officials said in a statement on Oct. 30.
“The loss for our student’s family and friends is one that is unimaginable, and we offer them our prayers and unconditional love and attention,” Superintendent Susie Da Silva said in a message to the school community. “Out of respect for the family, we will wait to share further information.”
She noted in the statement that counselors from Ridgefield Public Schools as well as local and regional groups that specialize in grief and crisis therapy would be available to talk to children about their experiences.
