Tyler King, Kyson John Death – A tragic incident occurred in a Western Pennsylvania community, leaving the residents in mourning. Fire officials are currently investigating the cause of a fire that resulted in the collapse of a home in Jeannette, claiming the lives of four young children and their father. The fire broke out at around midnight on Wednesday at a two-story home located in Westmoreland County, approximately 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
According to the City of Jeannette Fire Department officials, five out of the eight family members who resided in the house lost their lives. Two other children and their mother were fortunate enough to be rescued by a neighbor and first responders. They were immediately taken to a hospital to receive treatment for injuries, including smoke inhalation.
The victims have been identified as Tyler King, 27; Kyson John, 7; Kinzleigh John, 6; Keagan John, 3; and 1-month-old Korbyn John, as confirmed by Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson. Unfortunately, all five victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause and manner of their deaths are still pending autopsy results and toxicology tests, which are expected to be available on Friday.
Meanwhile, the surviving siblings, aged 1 and 10, along with their mother, who was King’s fiancée, are currently in the process of recovering. In a letter addressed to the city’s residents, signed by officials including Jeannette’s fire Chief Bill Frye, it was requested that everyone keep those affected by this tragedy in their thoughts.
According to Frye, the fire hydrant near the house did not provide sufficient water to combat the flames, resulting in the fire spreading to another nearby home. “By the time we were able to access water, the main house had already collapsed,” Frye explained to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
