Katie L. Webber Death, Watertown – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the Watertown woman who lost her life and the Pardeeville man who sustained injuries in a collision in Dodge County on Wednesday. Katie L. Webber, aged 22 and hailing from Watertown, tragically passed away, while Patrick S. Hutton, aged 60 and from Pardeeville, was hurt in the incident, as per a statement from Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt.
Webber succumbed to her injuries at the crash site, while Hutton was transported to a medical facility following the collision that occurred shortly after 7:45 a.m. on Highway 16/60 near O’Connor Road in the town of Elba, Schmidt stated.
According to the preliminary findings, Webber was traveling westbound on Highway 16/60 in a 2013 Dodge Dart when it veered across the centerline and crashed head-on into Hutton’s eastbound 2022 Mercedes Sprinter van, approximately a mile east of Columbus, Schmidt explained.
Webber had to be extricated from her vehicle before being declared deceased at the scene. Hutton’s injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, with Schmidt noting that both drivers were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles.
The collision is currently being investigated by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
