According to documents obtained by People magazine, the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner in Florida has disclosed that Bobbie Jean’s cause of death was “intoxication by the combined effects of fentanyl and methamphetamine.” It has been classified as an accidental death.
The report states that Bobbie Jean was discovered unresponsive in the bathroom by her roommate. Despite being rushed to the hospital due to cardiac arrest, she could not be revived.
In response to her daughter’s sudden passing, Jane, the matriarch of the Carter family, expressed her shock and need for time to process the devastating reality. She mentioned that she would release a more comprehensive statement once she is able to think clearly, but for now, she requested privacy to grieve.
Jane also emphasized the immense suffering experienced by her 8-year-old granddaughter Bella, who has now lost both her father and mother. She asked for sympathy and prayers for Bella during this difficult time.
