Stanley Brucker Death, FORT MILL —The death of a Fort Mill Elementary School crossing guard is currently under investigation by the police following a traffic collision on March 21 during dismissal time, as confirmed by officials. The man has been identified as 61-year-old Stanley Brucker of Fort Mill by the York County Coroner’s Office.
Brucker was on duty at the school entrance on Springfield Parkway when the incident occurred, resulting in him being struck, according to reports from police and coroner officials. He was promptly transported to Piedmont Medical Center in Fort Mill by paramedics.
In response to the tragic event, the Fort Mill School District expressed deep sorrow, offering thoughts and prayers to Brucker’s family during this challenging period, as conveyed in a statement by spokesman Joseph Burke.
